receives TACME’s 2009
Outstanding Achievement Award
from Theresa Hartley and Marilyn Peterson
Congratulations
to Barbara Smith Michael, JD, MS, Assistant Professor, Allied Health Sciences
and Sr. Advisor, CME Regulatory Affairs and Compliance, at Baylor College of
Medicine on receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Texas Alliance
for Continuing Medical Education, awarded at the 2009 Texas CME Conference held
in San Antonio, Texas, July 22nd - 24th.
An excerpt from the nomination form submitted by some of her CME colleagues
stated “...for many of the previous years, [Barbara] has provided guidance and
practical CME information to TACME members and CME colleagues through her
participation in meetings as a speaker, panelist, and attendee. Barbara has
contributed well-researched insights into accreditation criteria, and her
thoughtful remarks and questions always spur valuable discussion at meetings.
Although she has the credentials and the background of a highly qualified
educational specialist and CME professional, she teaches and guides us all in a
practical, down-to-earth style that suits both the CME novice and expert.”
Congratulations
