Mark V. Gregg, MA
receives TACME’s First Annual Distinguished Achievement Award.
Mark V. Gregg, MA, co-founder of the Texas Alliance for Continuing Medical
Education, former board member and current webmaster for TACME, is the recent
recipient of the first annual Distinguished Achievement Award. Before
retirement, Mark was Director of Professional Education at the Texas Department
of Public Health in Austin, Texas. He continues to serve the CME profession and
professionals as a mentor, counselor, presenter, researcher, and site surveyor
for the TMA and the ACCME. In presenting the award at the recent TMA/TACME CME
Conference in Austin, Sterling North called him, “a dependable encourager and
challenger of our ideas, activities, and a friend who is always there when you
need him”.
Ironically, he was not present to receive the award as he was taking a well
deserved vacation attending the World Cup competitions in Germany.
The TACME Board and membership wish to thank and congratulate Mark for his
significant contributions to CME. This award was established specifically to
honor individual’s achievement as demonstrated by his or her collegial spirit,
exemplary performance, commitment to excellence, generosity, and dedication to
the profession. Once again, Mark has helped us define the goal.
