Mission
TACME's mission is to promote quality continuing medical education (CME) in Texas and support the professional growth of individuals and organizations involved in planning, implementing, and supporting CME. TACME does this by:
-
Connecting CME providers through local, regional, and national networks for mentoring, accreditation support, and shared problem-solving
-
Offering ongoing education for CME professionals through conferences, workshops, and teleconferencing
-
Fostering relationships among CME stakeholders — pharmaceutical companies, vendors, publishers, and other health professions
-
Maintaining open communication with regional, state, and national CME organizations (TMA, ACCME, ACEHP) to shape standards, advocate on regulations, identify emerging needs, and respond to healthcare trends
-
Providing opportunities for members to be recognized and to serve in elected and appointed leadership roles
