Mark V. Gregg Lecture Award

Mark G.jpg

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Mark Gregg on July 28, 2012 — a profound loss to TACME and its membership. As a co-founder and long-time contributor, Mark's vision, tireless effort, and perseverance laid the foundation for the strong, nationally recognized organization TACME is today.

Mark served as TACME's first president from 1996 to 1997, establishing the organization's core structure — including its articles of incorporation, bylaws, and board positions and duties. He was a true advocate for both the formation of TACME and its long-term future.

One quiet but telling example of his dedication: he made a habit of congratulating each incoming president with a single pointed question — "Who will you mentor to be the next president of TACME?" His technical skill also helped establish TACME's early web presence, including online registration, and he served as the organization's webmaster for many years.

In recognition of his generosity and contributions, Mark was honored at the Texas CME Conference on June 14, 2012, with the inaugural Mark Gregg Distinguished Lecture — now an annual tradition celebrating his legacy.
